My research focuses on advancing computational methods for structural optimization, computational mechanics, and multiphysics engineering systems. In particular, I am interested in inverse design optimization problems involving complex mechanical constraints, coupled multiphysics interactions, and high-fidelity numerical modeling. My research has resulted in more than 30 peer-reviewed journal publications and contributions to multidisciplinary research projects supported by national and international funding programs.
I am currently a Research Fellow at the KAIST InnoCORE POSEIDON Center, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, South Korea, and an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. Previously, I served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at Jeonbuk National University and Sejong University. I serve as an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering and as a reviewer for more than 10 international SCI-indexed journals.

July 2026 — Appointed as an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUS–VNUHCM), under the VNU350 initiative.
July 2026 — Joined the KAIST InnoCORE POSEIDON Center, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea, as a Postdoctoral Researcher.
June 2026 — My first two Master’s students (Đặng Tâm Nhân and Nguyễn Thành Nhân) at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), successfully defended their theses under my primary supervision, with Prof. Qui X. Lieu serving as co-supervisor.
June 2026 — Invited to serve on the Technical Committee of the 9th National Conference on Multidisciplinary Design, Analysis and Optimization (NCMDAO 2026).
August 2025 — Appointed as an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering (JSTCE).
